Hmmm . . . how about "Excuse me. Do you know where is?" as if you don't know already. Then thank her for her direction and say something like "I see you around all the time. What's your name?" Surely she'll tell you. Then you can find out her major, where she's from, etc. to get a conversation started. But pay close attention to how she behaves as you do all of this. If she's REALLY interested in you and she has some sense, she will ask you for your name too at the very least. If she seems interested enough you can ask for her phone number immediately before leaving or you can wait until you see her again. But if it goes very well, definitely get her phone number before leaving. Good night!

Keep creating opportunities to simply say hi to her - either be in her vicinity like being behind her in the cafeteria line, or walking directly pass her. After a while of smiling and saying hi to her you'll be presented with opportunities to chat, even if it's just about the weather or your studies! Whatever you do, just make sure you do something, good luck!

Ok you said on campus, I don't know what kind of a college (?) you go to, like how diverse and how big it is, but heres how I try to break the ice with girls at my university... Walk up or sit next to them and simply ask where they are from. Regardless of their answer, say "Oh really? I have family from there!" and this should instigate a conversation. If they ask who, say something like "Oh it's distant family..." etc. and if you eventually feel bad for lying to them, just tell them the truth. You made it up to get closer to them, most girls would find this sweet.
Good luck,
-Ray.

just be confident and let her know that you see her around campus a lot and was wondering if maybe you had some classes with her. if so, ask her if she knows one of the homework problems or something. then when you see her again, you can tell her thank you for the help and ask her if she wants to go out somewhere (coffee or whatever)
if she doesn't have any classes with you, then just ask her out anyway.

Sometimes when I would walk to class, this guy would come to me and just talk.
Some of his first questions were about what class I was taking, what my major was, do I work.
I didn't mind him asking, it didn't seem to come on too strong.
Just be confident!

If you can't bring yourself to talk to these girls then the best thing for you to do is forget them and move on.

How about, "Hi, do you mind if I walk with you to class?" Then, just make small talk & give her your number the next day.
