I remember some guys i knew in school talking about programming their computers to play music to wake them up instead of buying those alarm clocks that do the same thing. I wasn't sure if it was a progeam or something i could do through standard windows media player.

You can do it through the windows task scheduler.

It's not very good for your computer to leave it on all the time though. Your power supply will burn out a lot sooner and you will drive your electric usage up a lot more then it would cost if you just get a clock.

Yea, you can download the program. I dont know about media player unless you program it yourself but you can download the program.
