My ex and I dated for almost 3 yrs. We just recently broke up. Due to the fact that it's been a LONG time since I've gone on a date with any guy, I am ready to go out and have fun. In order for us to be friends, I decided to take a stand and said "no contact for 30 days" so I could clear my mind and see how things go from there. I know I still love him, but its not romantic love. So why am I still fighting the urge to call him...even though Im the one that came up with the "no contact for 30 days" deal?

You are like all of us Michelle. You want what you can't have. As soon as you can have it, you'll take it for granted...

Well, I was on a relationship for 3 years too. After we broke-up I was just not used to be w/out her. I had the feeling of calling her every day at least to say hi. But after a couple of months a realized I had to let her go. I joint a sports club to get her ourt of my mind, I knew it wasn't love. Short after it just seem to hapend that I was not thinking of her at all. I seen her since then twice and I just see her as another person now. I'm not in a new relationship but i started dating again. Just move on and try to get your mind in something alse.

Good luck to you!!!

Try being with someone for 14 years! my boyfriend broke it off 2 months ago. He was in your life for so long that talking to him is habit. You probably get along so well talking to him is comfortable and easy. I know it is hard, but stick to your deal and see if you can make it without him. You will feel sad, but don't use him as a crutch . Try to move forward. Good luck.
