The only problem I see is it could possibly make your hair oily. If this is not a problem for you, then-by all means- go for it!
I've found, myself, that it's much easier on my hair if I put conditioner in my hair before I go swimming. This prevents chlorine from damaging the cuticle of the hair as well as preserving your color (if you have any.)
Good luck. And, like others have mentioned, if conditioner stops working for you, pick up a good leave in spray. I recommend Aussie.

Yes, you definintely want to rinse the conditioner from your hair. Especially if you are not planning on taking a shower for a couple of days. From my experience of leaving in conditioner, i end up getting very greasy hair in the back, where i lay down and sleep. If you do want to keep your conditioner in, there are many leave in conditioners specially designed so that you do not have considerably greasy hair. Just go to the nearest department store to find these leave-in conditioners.

in case you utilize a dry or hydrating conditioner on oily hair, then it may experience oily after rinsing it out. it is why one needs to pick the suitable conditioner in accordance to their hair type. additionally extra low priced conditioners including clever, VO5 and others that are interior the $a million-3 variety predominantly provide your hair a waxy coating that could be incorrect for oiliness. something to think approximately whilst conditioning your hair is to apply a super toothed moist comb and comb the conditioner by your hair, you somewhat do no longer could situation the roots, yet somewhat shop on with the conditioner from approximately mid shaft and comb it nevertheless to the ends(the place you pick it maximum.) go away it on for a couple of minutes then thoroughly rinse it out utilising heat water. Blot dry with a towel and ask your self as standard.

...FINALLY - someone who also leaves non leave in conditioner in their hair...
...IF I add conditioner after I rinse the bulk of it out I put a good amount in the palm of my hands (not too much) and rub them together and add to different parts until I like the results and as far as gel and mousse the same concept put some in your hands and add it to the hair until you think it looks good...be care full tough because all those products in excess can make your hair seem soaking wet...just add it to different parts like put some in the front hen in the back then the middle and don't go overboard because too much conditioner in one isolated spot will not look appealing after a couple hours when the hair dries...that's why I mostly rinse it out a little with some remaining in my hair because you don't want your hair to look white like it has some product caked up on it...

Well you should if it's rinse out conditioner not leave in conditioner...but if your hair is really dry it's good to leave just a little bit still inside to weight it down and give a mit of extra moisture.
