My peacocks don't honk. They scream. It's sort of a "cluck cluck cluck.... AIYEEEEEEEEEEE" if they aren't too upset. An upset peacock just goes "SCREEEEE SCREEEEEE, AIYEEEEEE"

i have two peacocks. a male and a feamale..
i wake up to there screatching/ yowling and honking almost everyday.
they make like 2 different type of sounds
when the female comes of her eggs she honks constantly and its really really loud.. like HOOOOONNNKK i dunno im weird. i may be wrong but this is what i hear lol.
andd then she may howl / yowl /screatch/ scream whatever and be like yeooowwwwllll and haha i imitate it to them and they squarck back. my neighbours complain but tis funn =] i love them soo much <3 i hope this slightly answered your question have a nice day xx

it is very similar to what the cat makes but it is much more shrill and loud
