according to nascar fans on here, not only is nascar the most popular racing series in the world, but has the best drivers also. First- F1 is by far the biggest, most high budget racing series worldwide. Second- I dont care who you ask, nascar driver/indycar driver/formula 1 driver, Formula 1 is the series with the best drivers in the world. Every pro driver strives to be in Formula 1, not only because they are the highest paid, but they race against the best. Now I know that most Nascar drivers dont care about racing in formula 1, but the really good drivers in nascar will tell you the same: F1 is the best. Jeff gordon for instance, tested an F1 car and said it was the best car he has ever driven. So listen Nascar people, Im tired of having this same debate with you. Yes, nascar is huge in america, but thats about it. F1 on the other hand, is only second to soccer worldwide, and is starting to gain popularity here in america. Its two different things, but F1 IS BETTER. SORRY!

If you had half a clue as to what you were talking about you would not continously spout out this ridiculous dribble. Jeff Gordon did not test and F1 Car, he and JP Montoya traded cars for a publicity stunt... hardly worth watching.... and if you choose to use Jiffy Poo as your example, you truly need to do more research.

You claim to be the all time fan, but I doubt that you have ever even been to a race. The fact that you go from group to group spouting hate and trying to stir things up shows a lot about how miserable you really are. Get over yourself!

And for the record.. there is no such thing as a "false fact" jeeeezzz..

Yes F1 is the most watched, most expensive to run, has the best cars and drivers, etc., but once they get past the standing start (which is the most exciting few seconds in all of motorsport, imho), the race becomes secondary to the pageantry. There's little if any passing on track and very few teams/drivers have any real chance of winning, it's mostly parade laps led by the priveleged few. NASCAR racing offers a simpler type of racing that does allow on track passes, some contact between the cars and anyone can win on any given Sunday. I enjoy both series for what they are, but bottom line: NASCAR provides much more actual on track action than F1.

viewing audience - nascar has 7-12 million watching on any given Sunday, while formula 1 has 700 - 800 million on any given Sunday this is due to the fact that Nazca is mostly American and f1 is global,

ability - there wher 60+ drivers trying to qualify for the Dayton 500, there are only 20 drivers that will make the grid for f1, more people will go to space this year than get a chance to start in f1

switching series, f1 drivers are going to nascar because they can, nascar drivers aren't going to f1 because they cant

but nascar does put on a much better show than f1, one thing the fia needs to do is stop letting the home country put on the broadcast, there is passing in f1 but we never see it, we watch Ferrari's running laps solo in Italy or Alonso doing a pit stop in Spain, when there is action in the field going on, they need one traveling broadcast team who films the race each weekend, preferably ABC sports here in America we may not have the best drivers but we do have the best media people

I've never heard anybody say NASCAR is the most popular racing series in the world, though it is by far the most popular in America. You can argue about which drivers are better all day long, but NASCAR and F1 are two different worlds and there's no way to prove one way or the other.

If thats the case and you state that F-1 drivers are the best. How come thier countries dont have them drive for them in the world grand prix?? Or how about posting a few links with the info that explains it? Or how is it that a Champ Car is Faster than a F-1 car? Get your facts straight before shooting off your mouth. F-1 drivers get more respect because they race world wide.

The question you offer is as old as time.
We NASCAR fans like our form of racing, while you the F1 fan likes your form of racing. The same can go for football as the Alabama fan feels his team is better than USC.Or that American football is better than European football.
So we can say what we want make obscene comments but this does not change peoples minds.
As for who's best that is up to the people who buy tickets for the events and the sponsors that pay the bills. So cheer on your favorite driver and your favorite racing series.
I will say which I feel is the best and you will forever support the one you think is best.
good luck.
Thats all I have to say about that.

Wow, same posts using a different name. Well you still know nothing about ANY form of racing, and you still measure success by the number of wheels on your house. And FYI, you are NOT having a debate, this would require you to have knowledge of what you are actually talking about. Also, there is no such thing as a "false fact". Just an answer you don't like.

papabill and spiney said it the best, you can't compare nascar and the formula 1 series you sexist pig, yes you are entitled to your opinion about the driving series but to knock people that follow the sport without knowing these people, thats wrong, thats why people don't like you here, you know i can say that the formula one fans are snobs but thats wrong because i don't know their backgrounds and would be judging them and i wouldn't do that. please formula one fans don't take offense to that one phrase, i'm just making an example, not judging you.

hey sexist pig, if you read my profile, you would of seen i live in pennsylvania, shows how smart you really are!!!

nascar fans give you that information based on their limited knowledge of the facts and their enthusiasm for the pop culture racing our media puts in their heads...its much like american football and soccer...most americans dont get how global soccer is...or how many of the american invented sports are not a big deal anywhere else in the world...
