Well, I'm a pretty different person.

First off- you should know I'm a 14 year old high school sophomore. I like to think of myself as responsible and trustworthy. I am a Christian.

I've liked this guy for a year and a half... he's fantastic.
But what this question is really about is that I think sometimes he gets frustrated cause he always tries to tell me I'm pretty and not fat (I think I am... I'm 5'7'' and weigh 140 lbs...) but do guys get annoyed and frustrated when girls refuse to take compliments?

You say two things:
You are fat
You are not pretty
If you check your BMI, you will find that for a 14 year old girl, you are within the healthy weight range (76th percentile). You can check this yourself on the CDC's website. So you are not fat. I'm sure you would like to be thinner. 95% of the girls at your school feel the same way.
As for being pretty, this is not for you to decide. You might have heard the expression "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". How true it is. This "fantastic" guy keeps telling you he thinks you are pretty. Why is it so difficult to accept that he believes this? To him, you are pretty. This should make you feel great but it doesn't because you refuse to believe it. It is likely you have an unrealistically negative self image, at least as far as your appearance is concerned.
I would advise you to think carefully about this.

Yes, guys do get annoyed and frustrated when girls refuse to take compliments. If you want to receive compliments, don't refuse to take the compliments. Just say Thank you when you get a compliment. And by the way, according to the height/weight charts, for your height, your weight is just right. Stop thinking you are fat. If you feel you need to tone up, exercise more-walking, swimming etc. But please, do yourself this HUGE favor, and realize you are NOT fat. Take care.

We don't compliment you ladies for our own well being, but to show you we are attracted and care about you, and when a girl just brushes off a compliment it makes us feel as if their is no reason to say anything of the sort anymore

Guys get annoyed at girls who are always "fishing" for copliments. Who are always trying to make the guy "prove" the are sincere by asking stupid quesitons like "do you think I'm fat" or saying things like "I'm so fat"...funny thing about guys...while they may appear to be shallow and seem to only like girls who look a certain way...they don't tend to like shallow self centered girls who fish for compliments.

I get frustrated by that, if you don't feel it, fine, but don't make your guy friend feel wrong by telling him, just accept the compliment and be extremely happy that someone has finally found someone else and loved them for them and could find the best in them

No, guys don't really care whether you accept compliments. At your weight & height, it sounds like you are deserving of a compliment. Accept them gracefully & say thank you.

Yes, it frustrates the hell out of us. After about 40 I think you learn to live with it.
