i have been dating him for only a couple of days but his birthday is in like 3 days

It's too early to buy something expensive, so why not just :
1) take him out to his favorite restaurant
2) a cake
3) his favorite cd (but be difficult to know which he doesnt have already)

I would prob go for something small as it is just the start of a new relationship. Get something small now & then for his birthday next year you can splash out a bit more

If i were you i would get him something small but meaningful you dont wanna come on too strong seems as you have only dated him for such a short time ... get him a voucher somewhere

I would get him something small. A CD, a DVD or something like that. If he is of age, you could bring him a dozen manflowers (12 pack of beer).
