Well, I'm confused with the term "asking out". See, this guy has finally asked me out on a date, and everything seems fine. You know, he does things a boyfriend would do for me. Thing is, if a guy asks you out, does that automatically make you his girlfriend? Because the way he acts and what he does, it certainly does seem that way.

No. If a guy asks you out, he is only trying to see if things work out between the two of you. You have to see how your relationship work out slowly. Don't just jump into the river of love, you will end up bruised and hurt terribly.

Dating as a couple and dating as friends are totally different. Feeling is different. If dating as a couple, both will try to find time to date again. Dating as friends won't.

The difference between dating as friends and dating as a couple is what you do after the date :)

Seriously, what dating's all about (or at least it used to be, in my day...) is finding you if you want to be a couple. It doesn't mean you're bf-gf, but the intention is to head that way if all goes well. If you keep dating the same person exclusively for a while, that pretty much means you're a couple, unless it's totally platonic in which case that makes him just your friend, and probably gay.

well...did he say anything about you 2 being a couple? or did you just talk like you usually do? because normally, things change when you date a guy. you don't just hang out with him :) i think you should ask him what his plans are, so that you can really know if you 2 are a couple or not :D good luck with that ;)
