I recently started liking this guy so i dont know him much. His friend is going to ask me whether or not i like his friend. I want to say yes but without actually saying yes. eg. maybe - but something where he will know i said yes, not maybe where there is a chance i might not like him. PLZ answer!!

There are more complex solutions, but simply:
Say that you think he is cute, but that you don't know him too well just yet.
In this way, you make him feel good and you also make him believe that there is possibility for a future relationship. Atop of this, by saying you "don't know him all that well yet," you indicate that he should make an effort to talk to you and get to know each other better.
Also, saying that a guy is cute demands no obligation to him. Just make sure you don't put too much emotion in when you say that he is cute.

You have several options:
1) "I'm not going to admit that to you!"
2) "That's not for you to know, that's for him to find out"
(with big smile so he knows the answer is positive)
3) Ask: "Why doesn't he ask me that himself? He has nothing to worry about. I'll be nice"
4) I cannot tell you I like him! You would tell!
Again, everything has to be with a big smile so he knows the question does not bother you at all.
My favorites would be 1 and 4 :p

First make Ur self clear,that really u love him or not.And if u love him and where, u need sometime in order to know about him. just give a smile when ever u face this question.so that it dosent mean yes or no .once u confirm that u love him.express it out.
