I believe it is not a parable and God created them both perfect in a perfect place where but they disobeyed God. They actually existed.

I believe it is a true story, because the Bible never says that it is a parable. I also believe that is true with Noah's Ark, Jonah and the Whale, and every other story in the Bible. The Bible was designed by God to be absolute Truth, and is absolutely true.

It's a parable! The stories are meant to explain things to us humans so that we can understand. I don't think our minds could handle how it all really went down waaaaay back when.
Since mostly men wrote the bible, they could have messed with it, too! Who says Eve didn't come first ;)
It doesn't really matter, does it?

It was considered to be the word of God until mankind's advancing knowledge forced it to become something else. We now know that if members of the same family bear children, they are always born with genetic defects including sterility.
