The best thing for bladder infection i have found is to drink cranberry juice.I always keep two ,1ltr cartons in the cupboard. At the first sign of burning i drink the two throught the day(not chilled)it works pretty quick.
It was recommended to me by a nurse,it seems to stop the problem in it's tracks.Try a large glass to start with, then measure them through the day.The idea is to flush out the infection. It's very good treatment for emergencies.

Drink plenty of water to flush the bladder through. Before you get infections a daily glass of cranberry juice, once you have an infection a glass of blueberry juice is suposed to do good.

Cranberry juice has recently been shown to be little better than water, however I suspect it will be another 20 years before the myth dies, if ever.
Generally lots of any fluid + a 3 day course of antibiotics.
I am a very anti-antibiotic doctor (You can believe me or not, perhaps we all say that!). But I always advise antibiotics for cystitis as there is a risk of ascending infection to the kidney where it can cause scarring.

In general, antibiotics are the only recipe for bladder infections. Prevention is the key.
For men:
Bladder infections are quite rare in men because of their anatomy. Burning while peeing, frequents voids, smelly urine and "floaties" and blood in the urine are signs of bladder infection. You can prevent bladder infections by drinking lots of liquids, include cranberry juice and Going to the bathroom often to relieve your bladder.
For women:
Women have the worst anatomy design for bladder infections. The symptoms are the same, multiple burning smelly voids. You can prevent infections by drinking lots of liquids (cranberry juice), use cotton underwear, wipe yourself from front to back, washing yourself before and after sex.

You need to go to the doctors as bladder infections can become troublesome and recur. Try taking a good quality probiotic every day to re-establish good bacteria. Drink cranberry juice and take garlic which is a natural antibiotic, antifungal etc. Make sure you drink two litres of water every day to keep your urine dilute.

Sulfa drugs
increase fluid intake, cranberry and apple juice are high in sulfuric acid, there are cranberry pills you can buy in the store if you have chronic bladder infections. Of course good hygiene is a good preventative.

Go to a doctor. Cranberry juice helps to prevent, but since you already have it, it's too late.
I don't want to scare you, but if left untreated, the infection can go up to the kidneys, thus making everything worse, and the treatment more extensive. So please go to the doctor.
