Because each division problem has to have a matching multiplication problem. For example: 15/3=5 because 3 x 5 = 15.
Another example: 7/7 = 1 because 1 x 7 = 7.
But 0/0 = 1 corresponds to 0 x 1 = 0. That seems fine, except that 0 x 2 = 0, so 0/0 = 2. And 0 x 123 = 0, so 0 / 0 = 123. Notice that 0/0 can equal [infinitely] many different numbers. This kind of nasty problem causes headaches, so we simply say that division by zero is "Undefined" or "Not defined". That way we save on headache pills.

Because if you put 6 apples on 1 place you'll get 6 apples , 5 apples in 1 place, you'll get 5 apples and so on, but when you put 0 apples in 0 places you get nothing, because there's no such thing as 0 places. OK? Now stop asking stupid questions.
