Hey. I'm 20 years old and lately I've been feeling tingling sensations on my nose and upper lip. My hands have been shaky and my legs, when in a certain position, will twitch and I can barely control it. I've also been feeling random pains all over my body, I can't explain it. Like little random sparks of pain.

I've never experienced this before, so I don't know if I wanna go to the doctor for it.

Any ideas? I don't do drugs or anything like that, so no smart-*** comments please! Thanks.

I also feel numb at times, usually after the tingling.

One more addition, I've been having feverish waves throughout the past few days. Kinda vague. Thanks so far everyone.

Abnormal nerve sensations such as pins-and-needles, tingling, burning, prickling or similar feelings are all known as "paresthesias". They usually result from nerve damage due to pressure (such as a pinched nerve), nerve entrapment, or diseases. Continued nerve damage can lead to numbness.

Paresthesias can affect various parts of the body. Hands, fingers, and feet are common sites but all are possibilities. Afflictions of specific nerves or spinal nerves can also cause paresthesias in particular skin areas of the body.

Parethesias with simple causes such as pressing on a nerve are usually reversible. Certain other nerve conditions such as peripheral neuropathy (often from diabetes), lupus complications, Guillain-Barre syndrome, or multiple sclerosis are also possible causes of parethesias. Because of the variety of possible causes, any abnormal sensation needs prompt professional medical investigation.

You need to see a doctor as soon as possible. Go to an ER at your nearest hospital and they should be able to help you out if you think it's serious. If not, make an appointment with your doctor first thing in the morning.

It could be a condition called neuropathy, caused by some damage to the nerves in your arm. However, If you have serious chest pain or shortness of breath at the same time and pain is radiating to your back or shoulder I'd go and definitely check it out with the docto or ER

This needs to be investigated ASAP. This can be any number of neurological disorders, including Multiple Sclerosis. There are also other possible causes, such as Pernicious Anemia (a vitamin B12 deficiency) or forms of neuropathy.

These are not the only things it could be, but you can't take a chance, in the event that it is something very serious.

Please see your doctor.

DEFINATELY, please go see a doctor! First you will have to go to your general doctor so he/she can refer you to a specialist.
It could be spasms. At age 13 I started having muscle spasms that caused my hands & legs to shake (I was recovering from being hit by a car as a pedestrian),
Are you clenching your teeth at night while you sleep -- a dentist might be needed if so.
