I have, a proposition to make. As you can see, there is a lot of retarded.....I mean...redundant questions around here, so why don't we compile a FAQ for each of these faiths?

At least we could educate each other regarding our faith and belief, eliminate misconception, and promote inter-faith harmony.

So, what do you think?

Well, I'm getting tired of writing the same crap over and over again. Would be better if I had something I can copy and paste from.

Sounds good, Adia.

However, the only question is "What shall we all consider the correct Answer to the FAQ?"

Let's take, for example, "Allah, the Moon God?"

All Muslims will deny this to be true, despite so much of evidence being provided to prove that this was true!? Like, for example, the existence of the al Hajarul Aswad, itself! The mention of al Lat, al Uzza and Mannat in the Koran! And so much more!

Or, take for example, "Mohammad, the pedophile?"

As you well know, there's total denial regarding anything about Mohammad, despite all the evidence to the reverse!?

Remember that the aim of these FAQs being established is to eliminate misconception and promote harmony; but also, most importantly, to promote the Truth!?

Yes, I would love to have the FAQ that would explain the fact that Islam believes in the Rapture, ... in Jesus' Second Coming, where He shall save all the True Believers, which includes chaste Christians!?

Verily, I would, also, do all I can for Harmony and Peace; but, not at the cost of the Truth!

That's not asking for too much, is it?

Pax vobiscum, pax dominic!

Simon Templar

PS.

By the way, have you ever visited Arash Shirazi's Blog for Muslims who want Peace and Harmony?

Do try it out!

It's a good effort.

That is a good idea; however, there are some things about some religions, that MOST of the members of those faiths do not know about.
For example, I have a friend that used to be a Quorum President with the LDS (Mormon) church. In his studies, as the Quorum President, he researched documents that, to most Mormons, are not accessible.
Although, the "outer" doctrine of that church speaks of a religion based on Jesus Christ, there is a document that MOST Mormons do not know exists, which states that Lucifer, A/K/A Satan, the Devil, etc. is the god of the Mormon church.
Likewise, MILLIONS of men are lied to about Freemasonry- the fraternal organization which includes the Shriners. The fact is that Lucifer (Satan) is the god of that organization.
Unfortunately, men who do not join the upper level groups, never find out the truth about Freemasonry. It is a fraternity with a hidden agenda that only a select few people know the whole truth.
My job is to convey the truths that I have come to discover about the lies of these organizations and religions.
So, you can see where FAQ formats may be lacking in necessary information.

I am completely for a FAQ for each religion however we would need a place to put it. We could pose it as a question but then as new questions come up it will be pushed lower down the order. Perhaps yahoo might host it in an easy and accessible place. I wold be happy to help in answering questions on Islam if they are emailed to me at champ_pin@yahoo.com or preferably champpin@gmail.com.

Negative. Half of the Christian faiths, do not represent Christianity at all and what it is supposed to be. There are so many divisions just in Christianity alone that the FAQ sheet would be in complete disharmony. It is surely like that in the other religions too, I would think.

Unfortunately the reason why I don't think it would work is because most of the retarded....I mean redundant ;-) questions posted here aren't from people who want to learn and understand but from people who are already set in their ways of thinking whos main purpose it seems is to make fun of others and be hurtful....
It would be nice if those of us who are actually here to learn and understand even those of us who are here for support in their faith could all get along.

Sorry, count me out. Every church where the name of Jesus is mentioned in the most CASUAL of ways seems to make people think it makes them a Christian merely because they attend a service. Biblical Christianity is a whole different spectrum. It's having an actual relationship with God, and not just going through the motions of religiosity once a week.

I think that's a great idea. But there should also be some for some of the other faiths as well.

I'd be for it, although it would cut down on liquor sales.

The 'Pascal's Wager Drinking Game' is kind of a proto-FAQ, given that there's no way to sticky questions.

Non-Believers has a forum called "Asked and Answered" where frequently asked questions about atheism are answered. Anyone can view them, and registered members contribute answers.

Good idea, but I don't think there's a lot of serious searching going on out there. It's mostly people wanted to talk, not listen.
