Is it like (theory - measured)?, then how to find the theoritical numbers

Let us take an example. Assume you tried to cut a piece of wood 1 foot long by using a scale and marking from a longer member. Your intended length value is 1 foot and the actual measured values is say 11 inches. Then the error is -1 inch.

When you measure the distance between two points, you will get different values on each occasion. This is measurement error.

Accuracy and precision (repeatability) are the two measures of error.

(theoretical value-practical value)/theoretical value

will give the extent of error in fractions..
