The answer given by the first member is the reason why. No one or not many people are considerate to the events that happen in the lives of others. They just rant and rave about being late for whatever they may have been setting out to do without the thought in their minds that someone may have just lost a loved one. But life sometimes has its way of slapping us back to reality whereby we approach the accident and find out that its someone we know.

Yeah, but why. Because someone was yackin on their cell phone. Because someone tried to make it home after too many beers. because someone thought they could get away without wearing their seatbelt. If everyone followed the rules and showed some respect we wouldn't even have many of those accidents.

If someone was honking at you because you were driving to slow past an accident, it means you were RUBBERNECKING.
When you drive past an accident, you don’t need to slow down to 5 MPH so you can get a better look. Keep your eyes forward, and keep on driving.
stop RUBBERNECKING. It is the leading cause of traffic jams.

That's not the worst of it trust me, it's the people who slow down traffic because they think it's an art exhibit and want to slowdown to watch and take pictures. That get's me ultra upset!
