It can be a little difficult because there are sounds in the Arabic language that we simply do not have in English. Also, there are many dialects that differ by country, and there is also standard Arabic. I am living in Morocco and I am learning Moroccan Arabic. It's not terribly hard, but I do have trouble making some of those sounds I mentioned! Also, the writing is very different, and they read from right to left. For now, I am not worrying about the writing. I need to learn to communicate with my husband's family orally first.

I am still learning Arabic.
Its hard - especially the grammar - .
I think if you really want to learn, then any language will become easy. From my viewpoint, the hardest language is the language I don't speak.
Watch Arabic movies & keep listening to Arabic songs.
& Work on " online Arabic translating sites"
It helped me....

good luck

its kinda like how you learned english... you learn the sounds of the letters in the alphabet and then you add them together to make words.. like c-a-t but in arabic...

once you learn the letters and the sounds they make, youll become fluent and you pick up the other words...

the music is pretty hard to understand.. because they use slang arabic... even though the language is called arabic.. there are many forms of it... but slang is the easist to learn

How long? well...it depends on you.At first, you will find it very hard but then you'll get the hang of it.Try with a few set of words first, then do another set, little by little you'll learn, you have to repeat them several times and when you listen to Arabic music, you'll recognize many words there. You're going to have fun, trust me,Good Luck!

It's a brutal language, takes a long time to learn. Listening to music doesn't sound like a strong enough motivation to get you fluent.
