I am taking Nexium for reflux. I have noticed that my food digests really quickly. (I just started taking it, and it hasn't helped my nausea/vomiting). I notice that when I do throw up, not much food is left. I know this is gross, but I was wondering if a side-effect was weight loss. Thanks!

Also, I've only been taking it a couple of days, and my doctor said to give it about a month to start working.

Nexium can help speed emptying of the stomach. If you're vomiting enough that you are losing weight, then you need to go back to your doctor. Good luck!

If you are vomiting still while on Nexium, I think you need to contact your doctor. You are not loosing weight because of the medication, but because you are vomiting.

No its not. I know several people who take it and they don't suffer from weight loss.
