Anxiety is best thought of as excessive worry, or concern. There can be tension brought about by anxiety. Tension can also have positive aspects. For instance when striving to meet a goal or dealing with other challenges.
If you feel you are worrying or obsessing about something ask yourself this simple question:
How is my excessive thinking about this matter going to impact its outcome?
Worry is the greatest misuse of your imagination. Why do it?
