My friends and I were talking about what we thought was considered the perfect size for a girl today..I said that I thought a size 6 was considered to be the so-called "perfect" size b/c that's what I've heard over the years..However, one of my friends disagreed, saying that because sizes in America have gradually gotten bigger over the years, she thought the ideal size for a woman is closer to a 2 or 4..
Just curious to hear what both guys and girls have to say..

In response to some of the posts I received...
I just want to clarify that I am not (nor is my friend) a size 2, 4, or 6...
I put "perfect" in quotes to emphasize that there is really no one idea of perfection..
My question was not, what do you think the perfect person is..but rather, what do you think this "ideal" body is today..I was curious because as my friend's statement shows, it appears that this standard of a perfect body keeps getting smaller and smaller, especially for women..
As one person pointed out, Marilyn Monroe was a size 16, and was considered the sex icon of that era (and still is a sex icon)
So let me rephrase my question I guess, what do you think (in today's world) this "ideal" body is depicted as??

i would say a 6 is what most guys would like their chick to be, but id go with a 9 or a 10, i hate seeing chicks whos legs are the same size as their arms, thats just crazy!

I don't think there is any one perfect size.
They used to say 36-24-36 was perfect and that would be a size 8 bust, size 2 waist and size 6 hips lol. As you can see, not very achievable for 99% of the population. I think any size from a 2 to a 14 can be perfect depending on the woman.
Just be happy with how you are. As long as you and your friends are healthy, that is all that matters.

Well, since you asked us guys, I have to tell you the truth...
We have no clue what girl sizes mean. Seriously. I've heard of girls wearing size 0, and i'm like "Doesn't that mean she's naked?" Guys do the smart thing and use actual measurements for their sizes, rather than picking arbitrary numbers. Having said that, I prefer girls who are somewhat muscular, rather than twiggy skeletons with skin hanging off. Also, a little cushioning on the body is comfortable for resting on. Whatever that size is, in my opinion, is perfect.

7.....2 or 4 is anorexic unless you are 5'3".What's really funny is that with every 3rd generation, getting bigger, the girls are wanting to be smaller sizes than we were in the 70's! I heard that the average shoe size for women now is a 10. It used to be an 8.

Whatever size she can fit! We have become so consumed with body weight and sizes and that we have created a society of superficial people, dieting little girls, and people with eating disorders. I think that the perfect size is whatever size you are!

Marilyn Monroe was a 14 or 16 and she was one of the sexiest women to ever live. If it's good enough for her, it's good enough for me! The more curves the better. Boobs, hips, butts...me likes!

what a lot of bull, im a size 26 and my lover thinks im perfect, there is no one view of perfection. grow up. marilyn monroe was considered the perfect woman in her time and she wore a size 14

The perfect size is the one you fit in, you snobby little s.o.b. You didn't ask a question, you stated an opinion and anyone over a size 6 is going to be laughed at within your circle of friends. I bet it's a small group just like your mind you pathetic little person.
