Thank you for the clarification. Our police here in the United States do no deserve the circus like presentation of their VERY rare offenses (far lower in percentage that teachers, of which I am one, and much farther than the general public).
Regardless of their country, the best defense has always been free speech.
They can't avoid it. Communcation is too easy to get.
Islam is going through a revolution due to it. China is becoming more capitalist every month. The Soviet Union fell in part because of it.
We champion it.
Thank goodness for free speech!

It really is up to Government to put laws in to safe guard the rights of the people. The trouble is a number of these third world Government run by fear and so the Police do their bidding. Look at Zimbabwe. You need more democracy first and then police accountability should surely follow.

They are usually a shadow of the leaders interpretation of the 'rules'. Hopefully with a 'free' ballot good leaders will take their place but THAT's the problem isn't it. someone having their way with the polls.

Police are the same everywhere ... its a horrific thought that some of these keyboard (cyber) racists on here may actually be police too.
... the yahoo police are also guilty of using their excessive powers wrongly ;-)

why are you asking this question about a third world country, hell they are the same here, our police are supposed to be public servants, how many cops etc have you seen servicing anyone, most treat you like you are a criminal even if you have not did any thing and they don't even think you did,

Police in all countries are basically the same. They forget that they are public servants and expect us to bow down to them. If they are in a bad mood, they can even beat up 19 year old girls with no regrets.
