I lost the box for the printer with the software, so I downloaded it from the hp website........ all of the updates etc. yet the main software won't install.
A message comes up at the end once it has gone through it's process and I have clicked all the "next " buttons.........
It says "does not meet one of the following requirements: service pack * product type * internet explorer.

Email hp. They're very good at getting back to you and trying to help their customers. I had a problem with mine, and they not only emailed me, but followed up to make sure everything was okay. Heck, they even called my house on Saturday - unbelievable! - to make sure all was working okay!! How many companies will do that!
I also own 2 brand new Brother all in one MFC 665CW that I paid over $200 a piece for - their support sucks!!!, as does their product; it's garbage. Never again anything but HP. Honest, call or email them; HP does get back to you. And their customer help/assistance is awesome. They don't forget or ignore you after the sale. But you gotta email or call them to let them know you're having a problem. And they always get back to you. My one HP is over 8 years old. I had a problem with it, even though it was discontinued, they still called me and helped me out with it. Call them. If you get somebody you're not happy with, (like some foreign person you can't understand) email them. They will get back to you and help you.
