The definition of devotion is - ardent, often selfless affection and dedication, as to a person or principle which includes God.

This can manifest itself in many different ways; in the Christian sense it can be defined for example by regular acts of observance which may include Bible study, praise and worship and prayer.

A devotion is that which (or who) is religiously honored.

The Father can be a devotion.

He says, "If you love me keep my commandments."

So keeping his commandments would be an act of devotion.
