I'm going to a dinner party at an Italian restaurant so I'd probably get a bowl of minestrone and a big plate of salad with chicken strips, grapes, and mangoes.
And maybe a slice of chocolate cheesecake :)

We made an Hungarian style pork chop with braised onions and Grey poupon mustard, along with cornbread stuffing and a baked potato done with parsley and sour cream and some cherry tomatoes as an appetizer.

Soul Food. I indulged in some Popeye's New Orleans style spicy fried chicken, a three-piece, with a famous Popeye's biscuit, and some cajun rice. It was a delight.
