Sorry Folks but that's too much Tylenol that shuts down the liver not Ibuprofen.
Here is a great alternative:
Ibuprofen
then Naproxen (over the counter in the arthritic area of pain control)
you can even add in Tylenol if it helps the pain

so alternate them - it's much safer and prevents your body from getting too use to the med.

100 mg of ibuprofen is only half of a pill. if you take pain meds, follow directions carefully and take on a full stomach. your chronic pain is best treated by your doctor. make an appointment.

Ibuprofen and other NSAIDS should be taken only under medical supervision. Even ointments / creams and gels containing nimesulide etc. like Nice / Nise Gel result in the absorption of the medicine through the skin.

that small of a dosage of ibuprofin a day is not going to cause you problems .
Taking too much ibuprofen in one day can cause irreversable liver and kidney damage....check with your doctor to be sure.

I wouldn't risk taking so much ibuprofen. I suggest Yoga...it is good for arthritis.

It not wise to do so. You can experience liver damage as well as pretty sever stomach pain if taken for a few months.

how old are you? are u obese? as for its inflammatory effects 100mg a day is not going to do anything for you. i recommend exercise, since am not a fan of medication, even though i am a physician. do lots of stretching, pilates, and if need be take 800mg of motrin twice a day with food. besides liver and renal damage, we worry about gastritis.

You have to take them as prescribed normally with food it can be rough on your stomach, also that doesn't sound like to much to me. You should check back with your doctor though and go over the situation with (him or her)

Ibuprofen is one of a number of NSAID (Nonsteroidal AntiInflammatory drugs. Aleve and aspirin are other members. It is safe for most people to take 100mg of ibuprofen daily. Many take far more (upto 3200mg ) daily.
Problems with ibuprofen are: stomach irritation which can long term lead to stomach ulcers. Always take NSAIDs after food.
At least 1 full sandwich with a full glass of water/milk/gatorade.It is wise to avoid alcohol because this also causes stomach irritation. NSAIDs also can cause salt and water retention which becomes important to those patients with high blood pressure or heart problems (especially Congestive Heart Failure). Know that NSAIDs
do reduce inflammation and thus pain but they do not prevent joint destruction in rheumatoid or psoriatic arthritis.
At the dosage you are taking, your symptoms are very mild.
I would also like to mention a completely different approach to treating this type of pain. There is a family of "Counter Irritants" which can be very helpful. The basic idea is that the brain can feel only 1 type of pain/stimulation at a time. If you were to pinch yourself 2 times a second
medium hard between your fingers your mind would focus on that stimulation and "forget" your back pain. Creams and Ointments are available that can cause the skin to feel warm or cold. Both cause the mind to focus on the skin sensation and "forget" the back pain. Products that cause the skin to feel warm include Zostrix/Capsacian (spelling), Icy Hot
(which smells like wintergreen). Products that produce a cold sensation include Therapeutic Mineral Ice and Biofreeze. Advantages No stomach irritation or salt or water retention. Best wishes. (I am a pharmacist with 31 years of
experience with a couple of doctorates) In January I had a total knee replacement and am doing very well in physical therapy.
