A lot of men do this all the time. To them, it's just like fishing. They throw out compliments to women and see if they can get a bite. If a woman responds, they try to get her. If they don't, they keep fishing.
Most of the men that do this are usually bad guys or desperate men that can't get dates with women without trying to trick them into their beds with lies.

Many guys will say it to try to you know what. To many people saying I love you is not a big thing. Some people it means a lot. Dont ASSume all guys do it tho. I'm 29 and have only told one women besides hamily that I love them

Guys as well as gals will tell the opposite sex anything at times, because they think that's what the other person wants to hear.
Sometimes they just like to mess with your mind. Actions always speak louder than words.

dont fall for it, if their eyes flicker or their cheeks drop you know its a sham (fake). If they get close to you like 90% and theres 10% for you to get close enough to kiss and he has clean breath and he says it, its a true spark. Just remember, there are those who are good at faking so you also know it if you grab their leg and it tightens that means they dont like you
