God's word, that is what it is presented as.
Now, who else understands that it was written by the hand of MAN?

Yeah, but if I dictate a letter, I have a proven existence. The only "proof" of any god is that in many books written.
I've also read many books about unicorns. Does that mean that they exist, too?
*for the record, i beleive there IS a god of some sort. i just don't beleive that man could ever know said god, therefore cannot write "his" word*

Do we not know the meaning of human error?
And, if you wrote it, what proof is there that I said it?

Once you have a relationship with God...ie are Born again, you become His Child. He's a very REAL and TANGIBLE force in your life after that. My spirit is now reunited and made alive by His Holy Spirit, and we are connected. There's nothing that would make you doubt either His existence. or His ability to preserve His Word as He promised in the Scriptures, once you've met Him intimately as your Heavenly Father.

The Word of God was to show and guide us.
It has to be a truth, no one is capable of telling a lie and getting people to continue writting about it throughout thousands of years.
As we all know,Jesus existence was proven, so the only reason He died on the cross was either because He's lying, He's deluded, or He's telling the truth.
I dont believe someone capable of such teachings that even his enemies were dumbfounded several times, will die for a lie. its not smart at all.
also, there're the things that're proven by historical findings, such as the armors beneath the Red Sea talked about in the book Moses written, and the flood that covered the earth.
Jesus has also fulfilled all the prophecies about Himself, from His birth to His death, i mean, King David already prophesised about His arrival thousands of years ago. what else must you doubt?
then again, there're people who say you cant prove someone that long ago existed, yet they believe that people of that era or even earlier like King Julius existed, without doubt.
When your heart is closed, you'll do selective reasoning with double standards.

So when you dictate a letter - is it your letter or is it the letter of the one whose "hand" wrote it? The Bible is the infallible, God-breathed WORD of GOD. Man did not "make it up," or "invent it out of thin air," God SPOKE and man WROTE. What is so hard to understand about that? The "Big Deal" is two fold 1) it is your only hope of salvation and 2) it is what you will be judged from in eternity. Seems like a pretty Big Deal to me.

God inspired men to write His Words. It is God-breathed. God is God and would not allow errors in His Truthful Word He gave us as a manual to live by. He's not going to allow any man to mess up His Word, so as to misguide us. If God can create the universe, me and you, then He surely can control what goes into His Word!! I hope this becomes a big deal to you someday as He also uses His Word to judge us from.

If you were to tell me something, and I wrote it down, it would still be your words. Likewise God has a relationship with man, God speaks to man, and man writes the words down. Now man wrote the Bible, but it is the word of God.

The Bible is a collection of books written over hundreds of years. I believe it was divinely inspired and full of wisdom.
It's not a textbook or a straight history book. One must understand the symbolism and the different kind of reading and understanding that requires.

2 Timothy 3:16..........All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and it profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;
Man was inspired by God as he was moved by the Holy Ghost.
