yes he is, but he doesn't do miracles to put on a show of how powerful he is, to amuse the willingly-ignorant (2Pe 3:5), because they still wouldn't believe. He's not so dumb to fit in a little, incie bincy pyuny human brain. That's why people can't understand the all-mightiness of God. If you conclude of God's inexistence and bid your life on it, you are willingly ignorant because you have to be all-knowing to conclude that He doesn't exist. What if he exists in the rest the the 50%, or even 10% of the things you don't know. Then you're in big trouble because he will judge. You would say that he wouldn't do that, if he exists. the Bible says he did, does, and will, that is if you are confident in the truthfulness of the original Bible manuscripts.

I believe God is all-powerful and very mysterious so it's hard to understand how God works. The older I get, the more patient I become regarding the mystery part of God.

I can't prove this, but: Yes - GOD is all powerful. Really.
I can't figure out how to say GOD is not all powerful, as GOD actually made the laws we operate under, and us. ( 'we' being MATTER {atoms, etc} as we know it. And "laws" {gravity, etc.} as the ones we currently vaguely understand.)
Given time humans will unravel more laws and explain more ideas/thoughts with the backing of facts (like we did with fire, air and water so far) - just adding to the fact that GOD created them.

You know what, I was going to say yes....until I thought of something.
We are given free will....which means that God is NOT responsible for the bad stuff that occurs. He can't MAKE you stop doing something...regardless of the fact it will hurt innocents.
He is certainly very powerful...but He does NOT have complete control. IMHO anyway.

Yes, God is all powerful. Some people say that God has no power over them, but then, they die. Nobody wants to die, but everybody dies. God gives us free will, but it is limited. God can take your free will at any time. You cannot say, "I choose to not die". Nor can you say, "I choose to avoid suffering". Everyone suffers, without exception. Those who claim that everyone brings about their own suffering are deluded. Nobody wants a tornado to take their house, and nobody wants disease to take their child, yet those things happen.
Some people also say, "Well, yes, we die, but it is not God who kills us. It is some arrangement of chemicals and nature". It is an arrangement. Inert chemicals, however, do not arrange themselves. Nature also is working according to laws. Nature does not sometimes enforce the law of gravity and sometimes not enforce it. Nature does not sometimes enforce the law of death, and at other times allow endless existence. No. Nature is working under the direction of God also. We cannot even overcome the power of nature, let alone the power of God, who controls nature.
For that matter, we cannot even control the power of our own body. Someone may claim they have power over their own body, but then they will have to excuse themselves to obey the body's command to eliminate waste. Or the body will heave the contents of it's stomach out of the mouth, without your consent. And of the parts of the body that are controllable, hardly anyone can control the tongue, or resist scratching an itch. Or overcome the power of sexual gratification.
We are limited in our power, our freedom, and our control. God, however, is limitless. No one can overcome God in any respect, not even for a moment.

Of course, he created everything. Even the ability to question his power. Seriously, just sit back and think about it. HOW do we exist. If you say "Big Bang" where did the materials to create the Big Bang come from? Freaky stuff, man.

yeah, and he's all knowing too, and you arent! which explains why you dont understand why he doesn't use his power to save all those starving kids in Africa!
Maybe without those starving kids there would be nothing to unite humanity and we would all kill ourselves, **** I don't know!
But If a being is all powerfull and all knowing, what makes you think that you could understand it's actions?
