I fell for a guy and he was a jehovah witness and I guess I never understood what their rules are, or their doctrine. Can anyone explain to me, like what they are permitted to do or not to do? I'm just curious.

Thanks!

First, you have to consider that in the Bible, dating is for the intent to find a life companion. In the witnesses, dating does not mean sleeping around, as you find in so many people of other faiths.

It usually involves a group function, as to avoid temptation. When I was dating, at age 18, once we took along friends who didn't really like each other. She thought he was stuck up and he thought she was spoiled. He was 25 and she was 18. Even in the witnesses, there are disagreements. By the end of the evening, we had to throw cold water on them.

Yes, being a witness is, at time, not easy. It involves dedication to God and Christ. The only rituals they have takes place in a week or so on Nasin 14.

He can not date you (if that is what you are after) if you are not of their faith. You would be considered "worldly" or a bad influence because you do not share their doctrines or belong to the religion.

I dont think he would mind if you asked him what his beliefs are.

It is not that difficult of a religion. Mostly everything is that same as others but they do not celebrate Christmas or birthdays or thanksgiving.

Sunday services are different for every religion so their is different just like everyones is different.

Whitney; I don't want to dishearten you but - JWs are a man-made cult. The "religion" is based on "dos and don'ts" opposed to RELATIONSHIP with God, the Father, through Jesus Christ. This guy you "fell" for could be very sincere about his beliefs and be none-the-wiser for it - in spite of it. Should you decide to enter into this guy's life, expect to be loaded down with rules to qualify for his love and attention.

Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses.
First Roman Catholic Bible was published at Rheims in 1582.
Second one published at Douay in 1609.
These called RCV version of Bible.
The Protestants regarded 7 books as ‘apocrypha’ (doubtful authority) and removed them from Bible.
(The Book of Judith
The Book of Tobias
The Book of Baruch
The Buck of Esther, etc. )
Jesus pbuh said in the book of Revelation Chapter 22 Verse 18-19 ". . . If any man shall add to these things (or delete) God shall add unto him the plagues written in this Book."
On deleting 7 books from bible, the Catholics call ‘cult of Christianity’ to the Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses.
