I'll recommend the healthy way:
DO NOT:
Eat meat, sugar, and oil (any type of heated oil)
Eat white flowers, preservatives, artificial colorants, reheated food, canned food.
eat dairy
Eat anything heavy within 6 hours from bed time
Combine raw food with cooked foods
Combine fruits with vegetables
Combine carbohidrates with protein
Combine straberries with any other fruit
Combine citrus with sweet fruits
Do any of the above combinations within 12 hours
DO:
Eat organic
Drink lime juice in the morning (unless you have gastritis)
Eat 75 to 100% raw food
Eat raw food (fruist OR vegetables) 2 -2:30 hours before the cooked food.
Drink 5 - 8 cups of liquids, (natural squeezed juices, teas, soy milk, cereal waters, etc).
Take up to 5000 mg of organic Vitamin C.throughout the day, one hour before the cooked food.
Make sure you drink soy baised protein powder an hour or two before bed.
Make sure you get full with raw food. Eat until you are completelly satisfied of raw food, it has to be 75 - 0100% of your food intake.
Your energy levels will go up like this. Your health will improve, you will loose weight in a matter of 2 weeks.
If you choose to do this gradually (to give it a try and see if "it is safe"), it'll work, but not as quickly.
I lost 14 lbs by not eating meat the first week. That's how I started and I didn't feel sleepy after lunch (first time in my life )when I did it. Give it a try for at least 8 weeks, OK?
I've been eating this way for 3 years and I look and feel younger than when I was a teenager.

Adkins Diet will take the weight off quickly. However, the diet itself isn't healthy. If you are looking for a healthier approach(but somewhat slower) try the South Beach Diet. In Phase One you will lose between 8-13lbs. In a year I lost 63lbs. If you don't like "healthy" type foods then the best way to drop the weight would be to limit calorie intake and exercise/workout for 30 minutes, 4x's a week. Good luck to you!

That is a really good question if you will leave off the last word. I'm not being facetious. It's just what I know from a lot of dieting. When I concentrate on "quickly" it doesn't happen and I give up. We do better to think how to lose it wisely and well and FOREVER! Blessings.

Exercise everyday like jogging around the block
Skip meals. Eat 2 times per day than 3 times per day
Dont eat until you're full
Eat fruits at night if your hungry.
Drinks lots of water and stop all the fast food and chocolate.

no carbs and exercise. do the lo carb slim fast too. you can lose weight quickly for an event that way. may not keep it off long term though. for that you need to do the whole sensible diet and workout routine...
