Snoopy is a beagle. You could name her after one of Snoopy's sisters, or his mom.

Belle and Molly are Snoopy's sisters. His mother's name is Missy.

I think pets choose their own names.
My cat's name is Malu, it's egyptian for Warrior. He's an Egyptian maiu and he earned his name when he defended my brother from a feral cat shortly after we got him.
My other cat's name is Otto, he's a champange coloured cat with a few ginger stripes through his tail, he got his name because when we first got him home we had a footstool (ottoman) that was the same colour as him and he used to love sleeping on it.
Our German shepard Rocky got his name because he's a faithful protector and won't back down from a fight.
Our Boston Terrier is named Remmy because her registered name is Dreamgirl and she performs REM about 23 hours a day.
Wait a while and your puppy will pick it's own name through it's behaviour or a funny personal quirk.

It really depends on the dog itself... Male/Female. Temperament, Physical Appearance. What may be perfect for one may not be for another. It took me 2 weeks to settle on a name for one of my dogs... he even went through a few but it just didnt feel right. We went through about 5 names... ultimately settling on Gizmo...while my other dog was named instantly with Anyanka... you just never know! .. try some out and if it doesnt fit than try another you like, something is bound to stick. If you cant decide in a month take all those names and draw it from a hat or something. Here are some personal favs of mine: Crumpet, Jello, Ninja, Tilly, Biscuit, Who, Tramp, Lucky, Spudsy, Darling, Anya... but what i do is i look at the pup and ask myself what kind of name would fit... hope these sites help

well we have a mini Dachshund and I named him scooby doo it seemed fitting since he is scared of everything even his own shadow. however I would have to say that it depends on the breed of the dog and how big it will get when it gets older. there is a good site that helps choose a name for your breed dog at http://www.cat-dog-names.com/dog-names.html

I hope this helps
Have a great day and God Bless

This really depends on the breed and sex of the puppy.
for instance a female toy poodle named "BRUTUS" may not be the best.
So, you really need to give us some more detail, sorry.
