I didn't. I just do.

But... if you didn't chose to fall for the opposite, that means that you didn't chose to not fall for the same, does it not?

What I'm getting at is that the homosexuals do not chose who they are anymore than they chose the color of their eyes or hair *naturally, dies and contacts don't count.*

Is it not more of a "sin" to live a lie than it is to be yourself?

Very interesting-

I suppose a lot has to do with demographics-
For instance I was born and raised in S.F. CA but since moved out to the upper Mid West.

If I had stayed in S.F. would I have found a same sex partner that would have afforded me the same quality of life and satisfaction I am currently having with my opposite sex partner I have right now?

Perhaps.... I guess I'll never know.

No one chooses who they are but if anyone turns to Christ Jesus they become a new creation and have power to overcome besetting sins in their life.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such WERE some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

No it is not more a sin. God has given His law so that we can know what is right and what is wrong. If we have certain questionable tendancies then we can go to Gods holy word and see if it says anything to help us to understand if the tendancies are ok or should be resisted. His law teaches us that we are not perfect and that we need a saviour to clean us up. Jesus will clean sin out of our lives. If we don't look to the bible for guidance we will soon be twisted up and easily swayed into all sorts of immoralties.

They can't chose what sex they like, and I think it's more of a sin to live a lie. It annoys me that people think that they chose to be homosexual when they would rather be heterosexual.

It isn't a sin to be homosexual; committing homosexual acts is a sin (like marriage).

It is a sin to go against the known and written will of God. God's Word is very clear on this issue. It is SIN. And you cannot enter heaven with sin in your life. Homosexuality is a "mindset" - faulty thinking. That can be "reprogrammed" and the sin overcome by the deliverance of Christ. Personally, I believe that all homosexuality is nothing more than a demonic spirit that has attached itself to a person, confusing the mind and creating aberrant desires. They need spiritual deliverance and a change in thought patterns.

Some do, some dont. Lets put it to you this way. A good riend of mine, has an attraction to men, but also to women, and choose to marry a woman, and be faithful to her. My sister in law, has NO attraction to men, and is hard core lesbian, but admits she chose it. And yet another friend of mine, whom Ive known since child hood, has no doubt been gay since he was small.

Look, I dont care what people do in their bedrooms, and I think, gay or not, they should be able to marry, and get all the same rights us heterosexuals have.

Biblically, no matter how you spin it, its a sin, yes, BUT we have been taught by Christ to love the sinner, and not to judge them. We'd all be better off if we remembered that.

One can show you a path but you must choose whether you want to walk down it or not. Everyone has choice. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a fool.

Take it up with Almighty God, friend, I grow weary of these arguments. Your beefs aren't with Christians, they're with the Maker of the absolute Moral Laws, God, Himself!!

I know homosexuals do not choose to be a homosexual but they can choose whether or not to act on their desires.

But according to God and the Bible, that's not who they are. It's Satan tricking them into believing that is who they are.
