Do you pay income tax? Do you know that it's illegal to pay income tax (and more particularly in the way it is used today)? Do you know it's illegal for the IRS to try and seize your property? Do you know that people have taken the IRS to court and have won?

I'm not saying that I won't pay it but if America woke up, they wouldn't have to. All other taxes are constitutional, income tax is the problem

No issues. I just like to inform the ignorant. No I do not watch Sci-Fi, but do you? You keep on bringing up these science-fiction things, is there a problem? And I will continue to post, is that a problem, sweetheart?

Godless, I never mentioned welfare, income tax goes into the pockets of people, all of the other taxes go to a service but income tax does not

Jenny, I'm not saying that I won't pay it. I'm just trying to inform the ignorant. If more people knew about it and opposed it, we wouldn't have to. Sure, I'll pay the tax but that don't mean I can't search for the truth at the same time

MzDeelicious, it's called common sense, which evidently isn't that common. There are a plethora of links because when you are trying to make an argument you present the information from many different sources. Makes your argument more believable. It makes argument more wide spread. You can click on any link and pretty much get the same information.

i did know this, but good luck getting a job when you refuse to pay, and good luck getting a jury for your trial date when they take you to court because if you dont get a jury, the judge will send you to jail/make you pay no matter what you say...

i was happier before i knew that it wasnt a law that i had to pay taxes but the IRS was screwing me hard by taxing my money before i get it AND when i spend it just so they have more.

and to the ppl who think that your income taxes go to roads and schools, your wrong, thats what your property taxes and gas takes go towards, your income goes straight to DC...

Im not sure all of that is true. But I will take your word for now, because that is a whole bunch of links I will have to look into it later. Originally income tax was illegal, but I do believe they amended the constitution to fix that. I have to look into that.

But income tax is biatch. Cause for some item you get taxed three times on the same dollar. They tax the dollar when you make it. then they tax it again when you spend it. And if you accumlate too much of it, they tax you just for having it. And they tax stuff that you own like your house and your car. Its draconian. I can't believe we put up with it, and say nothing will Bush pittles it all away on some useless war.

Yes, I do, I pay it anyway because they send quite a bit of that money to schools and to the military and I have used some of it while on welfare so I don't really have a problem with it. The IRS has declared each of us a corporation because it is unconsitutional to tax a citizen. Dude, you are having some issues tonight. Do you hate America or are you just watching the SciFi channel?

You. Are. Nuts.

Taxation is SPECIFICALLY called out in the Constitution! In fact, it's one of the main reasons why the Confederacy document (the 1st attempt at a Constitution) failed and the second attempt made.

You can dream about living a welfare life all you want, but the fact is I like roads and I don't mind paying for them. Same with cops and powerlines and all the other things my tax dollars go to. I hope they don't go to fund nuts like you.

The IRS raided a small factory near where I live. They had 60 employees. Now they have 23. The other ones tried what you propose. I recommend KY jelly your first night in prison.

You realize your last link specifically proves that the income tax is allowed in the constitution

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sixteenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution
From Wikipedia
"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration. "

From the National Archives themselves:
"AMENDMENT XVI

Passed by Congress July 2, 1909. Ratified February 3, 1913.

Note: Article I, section 9, of the Constitution was modified by amendment 16.

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."

A FAQ regarding Tax Protesters...PLEASE GO THROUGH
"What is a "tax protester"?

The phrase "tax protester" is commonly applied to two types of people:

People who refuse to pay taxes in order to protest policies of the federal government that are supported by those taxes (such as people who refused to pay taxes during the Vietnam War); and

People who refuse to pay taxes or file tax returns out of a mistaken belief, firmly held, that the federal income tax is unconstitutional, invalid, voluntary, or otherwise does not apply to them under one of a number of bizarre arguments, most of which are described in this FAQ.

This FAQ uses the phrase "tax protester" in the second sense, referring to people who refuse to file returns or pay taxes because of ridiculous and far-fetched arguments against the validity or application of the tax laws. (See the above explanation of the purpose of this FAQ.) "

"The purpose of this FAQ is to provide concise, authoritative rebuttals to nonsense about the U.S. tax system that is frequently posted in misc.taxes, and on web sites scattered throughout the Internet, by a variety of fanatics, idiots, and dupes, frequently referred to by the courts as "tax protesters".

This "FAQ" is therefore not a collection of frequently asked questions, but a collection of frequently made assertions, together with an explanation of why each assertion is false. "
