i really want to have long hair but the problem is that my hair grows upwards and im worried that my hair wont fall down and i'll have like a huge afro or something. I have been growing it for about a month, its already about 1inch long, and my hair grows pretty quickly. so...

1. Will it eventually fall down? And how long do you think it might take?

2. Where do boys usually spilt it? like in the middle or something?

3. How long should i grow it? to my chin or shoulder?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME. also whoever answers all questions with some reason behind it will get the best answer =]

peace :)

1. Yes, it will eventually fall down. There'll be an akward stage inbetween the growth process where it'll be kinda..upity. It'll take until your hair is at least past your chin to weigh down well, I'd say. Try tying it back in cases where your hair is being evil.

2. Depends on your style. It's common today to split it to the side in order to have some hair hide away your face. Ya know, emo thing. But you can part it down the middle.

3. You won't know how long you should grow it till it gets there. Some faces are built for longer hair, while others are bult for shorter hair. When it reaches to your chin, see if it looks good. If not, let it grow out some more.

hi this is samantha i have been a hair stylist for 2 years, and to answer your questions.
1. yes it will eventually fall down, and it will take several months since your hair is that short.
2.different boys part thier hair differently, but my advice part it almost in the middle but alittle to the left.
3. some more advice, if your are gonna let it grow long then grow it to your shoulders cause the chin thing, (so outta style)

are u a guy? or a girl? you can do a split anywhere and then you can start another part from a part which looks cool you need a special comb which helps in an even part grow it as long as u like it takes a long time for hair to grow and it does grow out before down thats true but it will grow down eventually don't worry

1.unless your hair is extremely curly, you wont have an afro. you have a strong growth pattern but once you get enough length it will lay down. hair on average grows a half inch per month, you will need a couple more inches probably to get a real style but dont worry your not gonna be walking around with 4 inches of hairs stickin off your head. it will eventually lay down.
2.boys split their hair lots of ways. my best advice is see where your hair wants to split and go with that. dont fight your hair, its a battle you'll lose. also ask your stylist for some products to help manage your hair.
3. right now that longer surfer shaggy look is in....about to the bottom of ears on sides longer bang and down a couple inches past hairline in back. go to a stylist and have her razor or texturize the crap out of it when u finally get it grown out....it will give it that whispy look that will lay nice
good luck

...YES as it gets longer it will fall down (have you ever saw someones hair just stick straight out like that when they have longer hair) it will become heavier and lay...the pace your hair grows is up to you...if your hair grows fast I think it could be to your shoulders in like 5-6 months...
...I have no idea where your hair will split just get frequent trims if you want it parted in the middle then just part it in the middle and eventually it will naturally want to fall like that...
...grow it to your shoulders so you can put it in a bun or ponytail or grow it longer to get a long braid down your back...

this is not a problem you can let your hair grow and twisted, braded, or jest let grow until it settle itself as a Rasta
