Probably, according to the Bible he gets pissed off for pretty much any reason.

In the bible it says either you are with God or you are against God, there is no in between. It takes a leap of faith to be on God's side. If you believe without any doubt in Jesus as the only begotten Son of God, that God sent to the earth to redeem man from sin and resurrected again to sit at God's right hand, if you develop a personal relationship with Jesus, all things are possible. You can only achieve these things with faith and belief. No Doubt. Believing is seeing. It is something you cannot buy or earn or work for, it is a free gift and all you have to do is accept it. No one else can give you faith, you have to get that on your own, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you.
Peace and Love

Brett: God does not want to "punish" you nor hate you. God loves you in spite of your lack of faith towards Him. God is in the saving business; therefore, relax. "Faith" is a gift of the "fruits" from the Holy Spirit ( see: The Book of Galatians, Chapter 5, verse 22) . this should explain "why", you do not have it.

According to Christians it would seem that god loves to punish people and he does it at the drop of a hat. God doesn't take rejection very well, he has low self esteem.

He doesn't punish you...He is just limited when it comes to blessing you. Ask God to give you a reason for you to have faith in Him. I'm sure He'll come through for you.

I gave this for a previous answer, but, as I said, all are to be held accountable. As the Good Book says, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."
The meaning of that verse is very straightforward: all are held accountable in God' eyes. Even those who don't believe or those who haven't even heard the name of Christ are held accountable. So yes, God will punish you if you have little or no faith in him.

I suggest you to ask yourself this : Do I love other fellow human beings. If the answer is yes, then, no, God does not punish you. He will open the door to heaven for you. What you DO in this world is far more important than what you believe in. Many so-called religious people preach and praise their Gods every day, but they don't really DO anything for humanity. Oh smoke.

Only God can judge your faith or lack of it. But, as a Christian, I have to say that you are missing out on the best part. Just believing in his existance is only intellectual. Having faith and getting to know Him through the Holy Spirit is fantastic.

Not placing your faith in God is the same as rejecting God. You are either saved or you are not saved. You have either asked Jesus to forgive your sins and live in your heart as Lord and Savior or you have not. The "punishment" is merely a consequence of NOT accepting Christ and placing your faith in Him.

Wait a minute. You don't reject God, you just don't have faith in Him.
Come again?
Jesus made a statement. He said, "I wish that you were hot or cold, but you are neither hot nor cold, you are lukewarm and I will spit you out of my mouth". There is no such thing as a "saved" fencesitter when it comes to God. You either believe that you are a sinner, that Jesus died on a cross for your sins.....and is your savior, or you do not.
You have to be in one of two camps, there is no other.

I believe so. There is no right or wrong answer to that question. It all comes down to your religious beliefs.. because to some.. God doesn't even exist.. let alone have faith in him. I am a Christian so I would say the answer is yes. I don't think it is so much that he punishes you though if you don't have faith, I think it is more so that he rewards those that do have faith in him.
