any sort of depression can be tide over by faith in GOD and sincere prayer.
Your prayer is from your heart. Further You must have to understood the fact that God is present in our heart. This can be realised in meditation. Further we are the creation of our own destiny. As per Hindu sacred religion, we carry all good and bad deeds life after life. There is no end unless we pray for unification of self with the divineliness.
Hence there is always a possible way to complete mergence with God in this life by a simple and wonderful meditation

I am sure you have heard of the 12th step program, part of it deals with making amends, step 8. Work through the program , no big hurry, I was stuck on AA's step one for 13yrs.
Addiction is a illness, and most people are aware of that, I did some shocking things, said horrible things when I was drinking but the people who really loved me just wanted to see me well, I think you will find that out for yourself. My husband is about to do a 10month rehab program for dual addiction, he has treated me extremely badly sometimes I feel lucky to be alive, only when under the influence. I have had to have him arrested three time to finally get him the treatment he needs, not much fun I can assure you, but he is a person and needs support to get well. I congratulate you for being clean now, keep in mind it is just one day at a time.

well first off, its great that you have gotten clean and healthy. you took a very important step in battling your addiction, you admitted you had a problem and got help. you will be free if you surround yourself with positive and encouraging people, people who won't judge you for your past. if you keep on the right track and continue to stay healthy and productive, then one day you'll wake up and realize that the addiction you had was in the past and doesnt define the person you are today. i wish you the best of luck!!!!!! and you should be proud for FREEING yourself from such an addiction. that is your first step of freedom ;)

You may never truly be free, if you don't allow yourself to beleive that you can be. I know the desire can always reappear and the want to do it can be overwhelming, but you just have to stay in control and go to whatever extreme it takes to keep yourself free and the way you want to be.
How long have you been healthy now? What are you doing to stay that way? What did you do to get that way? And what are you doing EVERY day to ensure that you will be reminded not to go back down that wonderful, yet painful road?

Nope, once an addict always an addict. Stay focused and get into a program like AA. Stay away from old places you used to get high and avoid those friends.

if you really want to stay clean and you really do stay away from it then yes, eventually it does get better and you don't have the constant urge.. it's tough at first but if you stick with it it will eventually be better and you will feel so great about yourself and the fact that you've accomplished such a hard task. and trust me life is so much better without it..
and if you show your friends and loved ones that you want to change and you did change then yes, if they really care about you, they will accept you back.
hope that helps. good luck.

same here, for about as long. Been clean for just over two years and as destructive as it was, i still long for it.
just because you stop doing a drug does not mean your free and clear. I beleive that it affected my mental health and i dont think my brain is as sharp as it should be because of it,
Not to mention whatever legal problems i incurred. But they say time heals everything, and i hoping thats true
