If anything, you should exercise for your health first, then try to fit in society's mold for beauty last.
I am into fitness and running, and I was an obese child and a football player. The best way I found to drop the weight was running and swimming. Unfortunately, that is not enough if you don't want your body to 'sag'. You must weight train with dumbbells and free weights. You should do 'light' weight with high repetitions. (when I say light, i mean something that will allow you to do at least 12 reps, not light enough to do 20.) When you do this, you will sculpt your body, without 'bulking' up, and the best part: the more muscle you have, the more efficiently your body will burn fat. Even during the regular work day!
Also, remember if you run or swim for an extended amount of time, that's OK. though, you should be doing something like if you run, try to run a mile as fast as you can or swim 5 sets of 2 or 3 laps as fast as you can. Doing exercise in bursts like that will call on your fat stores and build muscle at the same time! You can do it, you are all set.

First of all, congratulations on losing so much weight! It sounds like you're doing the right things and are on the right track.
I'm not an expert by any means on this kindof thing, but I think that the people you see like that were significantly overweight. I'm thinking that you may not have this problem. However, I suppose the only way of finding out is to talk to a doctor.
That being said, please don't stop working on making yourself healthy. It should become a lifestyle, which means you'll have to know in your heart that being healthy is the most important thing, over looking perfect. The health benifits of being healthy far outweigh how someone should look.
Good luck and keep up the good work!

Losing around 2 pounds per week is the best way to make sure your skin won't sag. This slow rate of weight loss gives the skin a chance to tighten up as you go along. People with the worst sagging skin usually lost tons of weight in a short amount of time.
Also, if you lose the weight and it stays off for a few years, insurance will often cover extra skin removal if you need it.

Don't believe everything you see on TV. Those so called experts love to play head games and the actors or mostly actresses you see advertising all that diet crapola get paid for that. The makers of all the products you see being shown by the actors or actress think you and everyone else is naive enough to believe that you can lose weight with their products. Fuggetoboutit.(Sorry I from NY). Anyway the best thing for you to do is to just get out there in mother nature and either jog or power walk for 30 min. for 3 days a week and keep track of your weight with a scale of course until you get to the weight you feel comfortable with. Don't over do it. As far as the sagging goes that will only happen if you go to far with your exercises. Oh by the way eat good food.

It all depends on your skin's ability to heal and also how long were you big... skin loses elasticity with age and time, so if you have been overweight for years, your skin is not going to go back to be as tight as it was originally... on the other hand, you might have killer genetics on your side and be a miracle healer and your skin will tighten up as you lose weight... it all depends on genetics, age and how stretched you are. most people i've seen lose more than 60lbs end up getting surgery, like a tummy tuck, because of so much excess skin that's left after the weight is lost...

I think if you do it gradually, you'll be fine. The people that have their skin sag are the ones that lose it by surgery. I was 188 and went down to 130 with diet and exercise, mainly light weight lifting and cardio.... my skin doesn't sag and I have received A LOT of compliments on my transition!!

that's hard to say... why don't you keep losing weight and if you start too notice excessive sagging then consult an expert? until then, might as well do your body a favor and shed some more pounds with a healthy diet and exercise.

If you excercise while losing weight you will not have sagging skin. you can lose the weight and look great, but you have to work at it. I don't mean you have to spend hours at a gym, just learn to do a bit of excercise and you will be surprised at the changes.
