my 10 year old cousin has a king size bed, why would that be unusual?

You are an adult, or nearly so; owning a King-Size bed is one of those things (like buying your first car, or picking out your first couch) that people eventually do. Even if it's not practical. Even if your room is no larger than the bed. I say this from personal experience.

Besides, you're an adult, or nearly so; who says you're always going to be sleeping alone? If you have the space, King-Size beds are a great luxury item that won't break the bank, and you'll appreciate it on those occasions when you're sharing it.

Probably unusual, but not unprecedented. I was the same way.

Now that I'm not single, however, I don't care about king vs. queen. With many affectionate partners -- my wife included -- one gets no more space in a king-sized bed than one does in a queen ...

properly, enable's see...my husband is an early riser and that i will frequently discover myself dozing by myself for the period of the morning in our queen sized mattress. when I awaken, i'm now no longer on my element of the mattress. i'm usually interior the midsection, laying diagonally.
