But others we can't see? My grandma saw her mother's spirit standing at the end of her bed after she died......i have dreams of the people i lost..but never seen their spirit? How can they make themselves visible?DO NOT tell me this doesn't exist....i have had FAR too many things happen to convince me it is real!

Some seem to be better at it or stronger. To make oneself visible takes alot of energy from the surrounding area. I saw my daughter's spirit guide once. She was talking to him. I thought someone got into our home and freaked, but when I went over to confront him he faded away. She got mad at me for making him go away.

OK, here's the deal. Your grandmother really saw something, but...it wasn't a ghost or spirit. Not to freak you out or anything but it was an evil angel. They impersonate the dead in order to convince people that they are inherently immortal. A lot of people are sure the dead go to heaven, hell, or float around earth as ghosts, but the Bible makes it clear that dead are really dead until they will be woken up at the resurrection during the Second Coming. Now this brings us an important question, why do evil angels appear as ghosts to some people and not others? It probably has to do with who is more open to these occurrences. People who already believe in ghosts and spirits are more likely to have encounters(even pleasant ones) with these fallen angels. If you understand who these apparitions really are, then you can arm yourself against them. Seeing "ghosts" or deceased loved ones is never a good thing. If you do, you must command them to leave in the name of Jesus. Jesus gave his followers authority and power to trample on demons and the powers of darkness. If you claim that power, they will listen to you. You must understand that this stuff is serious. I know it is real, just like you, however I feel that you do not understand the true nature of these events. Evil angels can make themselves appear as whatever they want, they can perfectly duplicate someones voice, body language, scent, and mannerisms. They also are the universe's best liars. You cannot believe a word they say...ever. Do not ever talk to them. All you should ever do is command them to leave. Jesus is the one with the power. Remember that. I sincerely hope that you never have encounters with the spirit realm. Do not in any way associate yourself with people who try to contact the dead or who get involved with occult practices, they are all pathways for the devil to get to you. Oh an if you have not accepted Jesus, you will have no power over Satan and his angels. I honestly truly hope that if you have not already done that, you make the choice right away. You will never ever regret it.

I agree with Panthere more than I do with Honey, yet I agree with both answers.
If you do see ghosts, even if its real, don't focus too much on them, they belong elswere. I have a clarivoyant friend and she chooses to ignore all the ghosts walking around. She chooses to focus in the reality of this world. And they need to go where they belong. Don't waste your time trying to help them, they will find their way. Don't worry about them. If you buy their existence, you must also buy the idea of a Jerarqy mantaining order in the Universe.

I do see my Grandma, Grandpa and best friend who have passed on from time to time-- but I really can't tell you WHY I see them.
I look at it as a spiritual gift from God that I have no control over.
I wish I could be more helpful, but I really wanted to let you know I "get" your question and have been there too.

I know they exist, I've experienced many ghosts. But I don't know why you can see some and not others, and why some people see ghosts and others don't. Science is barely on the edge of discovering the facts about that kind of thing.
