I'm planning on getting an ankh tattoo in two weeks.
(have been planning on this for 5 years or so)

Butttt, I cant decide where to put it.
Any ideas?

I would love it on my wrist in white ink.
Any one ever done this, or know if it would blend in enough to be ok with a work dress code?

Any help would be awsome, Thanks <3

hey!

I have a tattoo on my wrist of a moon and some stars. It has never been a problem at work, but I'm able to cover it with a wide watch anyhow.
I also have a rose on my forarm that I wanted to be white. The tattoo artist advised that with my skin color (tan) it might not be noticeable, instead he gave the rose a Grey color, and outlined it with white and black. It looks fantastic!! I would recommend trying that if you really want something lighter.

I think the wrist is a very attractive place for a tattoo. but the ankh will look good almost everywhere. lower back, wrist, back of neck, shoulder blade, ankle. etc etc.

GOOD LUCK!

i already have an ankh, its incorporated into my egyptian arm and back piece, and i think an excellent choice, i do however advise against the white, i had white im another tattoo and it faded very quickly, leaving me with something i wasnt happy with, fortunately i had a fantastic cover up which i love more than the original one i had! As for placement, an ankh is an easily adapted symbol for many places on the body, i worked in a studio and saw many done over the years, ones that looked like old crumbling stone, placed between the shoulder blades, shaded ones with shadow on bicepts, ones with flames or sun rays at the base of spines........ the list goes on. only you can decide where you you want to put in, many employers are not in favour of tattoos and this is something you should take into consideration, i have many tattoos including wrist and manage to cover them easily, take a while longer to plan your art, you'll know when you;ve got it just right, good luck

I would not use the white ink. It does not last and you will be wasting money. If you do not want people to see it your neck, chest , thigh, ankle and yes even your butt would not be noticeable. It would only stand out when you wanted it to. A cool idea if you wanted to be unique is to use glow in the dark ink or black light ink. Some tattoo places offer it.

A lot of tattoo artists won't use only white ink because it will fade in your skin and not be noticable at all. I would get it at the base of my neck, if you're wanting it on your wrist, you're obviously not worried about people seeing it.

I've seen that tat on a lady's ankle, maybe half inch tall in black ink and it didn't stand out too much. If you are white then the white ink will wash out and you won't be able to see the tat very well.

I would put it on the back of your neck where your neck meets your shoulders.
