The whole point of freeing the people of Iraq was not to steal the natural resources of the country. Instead we were supposed to go in and help set up a governement representing the people of the land. The problem is that the people were so oppressed by Saddam that they do not understand how to perform those duties without vengence or greed. Once they can work together, they will be able to stand on their own feet and say leave our land.

A large number of Iraqi's still feel they should be spoon fed. They think anything their neighbor gets should be theirs as well. Until they realize life doesnt work that way, they wont get over their problems.

Do I think the U. S. should remove the troops, NO. Not because of the insurgents, but because of the children. The children need a chance to discover that they are empowered now to make a difference. They need to be protected at all costs.

As far as expenses, blood was spilled on all sides. You can never get that back. If money was really that important the government should just drop all the payments to scientific endeavors that make no sense. Remember, the children are what is important.

And peace is just like time, its all relative to your view point. One man's peace is another man's hell. Each culture must discover that on their own.

The National-Union disagrees on your stance with peace. Peace is having a secured alliance and ending conflicts. Iraq War is causing our economy to decline because oil prices fluctuate continually due to the tension from the war. We have to withdraw from Iraq in order to end casualties. We can withdraw with an alliance, which is a governmental contract approved by the United Nations to share resources for economical purposes, http://www.voteprimous.com

You obviously just don't get it do you. The oil resources are barely being recovered due to damage to pipelines and power systems. There is no way to recover the money we spent here and spending boat loads more will only add billions to that cost with no guarantee we would ever get the money as all the oil money is supposed to go to Iraqi reconstruction not paying us back. We invaded them we weren't invited and thus they feel quite rightly that they owe us nothing. You really should come down from mount sinai and see how things really are before repeating talk show propaganda.

First, all caps makes the question very difficult to read.

But to the point, we're losing money (and lives) every month we remain there. It's not like we're slowly (or quickly) recouping money expended so far -- and there's no end in sight for when we'd be able to recover the hundreds of billions of dollars spent.

Maybe, if we took all of Iraq and sold the land to the highest bidder...

The current administration doesn't have the stones to send in the multi-millions of soldiers it will take to bring peace to the region. Nor do we actually have enough soldiers in our military to do so right now.
