I did say "Fellow Believers 'in the Dhammapada' ", did I not.
That's alright, Buddhists have been practicing Patience/Tolerance {which is the ability to remain internally calm, peaceful and undisturbed in the face of harm and difficulties in life) for over 2,500
years, and will continue to for another
2,500 Plus years. Loving-kindness, Patience, and Compassion is the Way of the Buddhist.

Some people do not mindfully comprehend that Buddhists have Scriptures also.

*"I have so many, many favorite Scriptures, which I ponder on constantly, for the pupose of application."*

But one of my favorites is:

**"Force is not Dhamma,
who uses force, not righteous.
Only he is wise
who sees clearly before acting.
Nonviolence is Dhamma,
who uses it, righteous.
He is Dhamma's guardian,
he is wise and just ! "**

My best meditation time is night time, before I go to sleep, because the activities in my home already stop, so I can find silent environment. However, I'm trying to develop the walking meditation, by focusing on chanting or simply my breathing.
Meditation bring alot of positive impact to me. It helps me to focus my mind; it helps me to control my emotion also and helps me to build kindness.
May peace be upon you =)

Isn't this what we all need in Yahoo Answers? I think this had helped me a lot in many ways. When it is meditation, this verse reflects upon our wandering mind and how we should deal with it and live with it.

Anyway, with regards to meditation, I personally recommend that we all be mindful and reflect on our practice from time to time, and constantly making it as a habit as we do not lose out touch with practice. Meditation is not just sitting there and closing our eyes, it is opening up our eyes to the truth of the dhamma.

Meditation improved my personal understanding in what the Buddha had taught and the truth that he had showed us, which we all have to see for ourselves -ehi passiko!

There is no specific best time. You don’t need to close your eyes all the time to mediate. You can even meditate while you walking, eating and whenever you feel comfortable with. Do Vipassana bavana, which is to concentrate on your eye, mind, nose, ear, tongue, body. And think they are the routes of suffering because you cannot keep them as yours forever. When you die, you have to let them go sadly. Therefore, think that they are not yours or anything that would stay the way you want.

I hope this helps.
