is going to jr. prom with a friend that has a gf?

They are both in college, him and I live in the west coast while she is at the east coast.

He's coming because he cant "say no" and yet he didnt tell his gf.. I have a bad feeling about this.. because the more time im spending with him and talking the more.. im scared something else is gonna happen..
help?
