It would depend on the quality of the cut and your satisfaction; not only the price. But based on the info you gave, maybe around $1-$3 dollars. (3 is max)

Hmmm, this is a little tricky in my mind. When something costs so little, I usually tip more than the standard 15 or 20%. Personally, I would tip like 5 or 6 dollars. However, I think that 15 or 20 percent is fine, if the haircut was good and the service was nice. So, about 3 dollars is fine. :)

you ought to tip, incredibly by way of fact the haircut merely costed $12, what a good purchase! Hair stylists frequently do no longer make a great style of money and assume techniques like waiters do. Tipping is a courtous and envisioned factor to do if your pleased with the provider.

Depends if they work for a company 15 to 20% of the haircut. However if they own their own salon I give a $1 or 2 Because they don't have to share the profit with a owner.

Its not the cost of the cut, but the quality of service that you receive but also the person's attitude and personality that counts. Some people do not think of it as just a job, but as something that they enjoy doing. Also ask previous clients on what they think of the hair dresser. If a hairstylist is hesitant on giving you a client referral then skip her.

You may tip if you like 15%. If you were squeezed in or were given exceptional service then tip 20%. I have read somewhere that tipping is optional .

Well, I would just give them a $20 dollar bill. It makes it easier on you and on them.
