I don't believe in ghosts, but have had one strange experience I cannot explain.

Many years ago, I was with a couple of other people in a community centre that had been converted from an old school. It was late, the centre had closed for the evening, and we were just having a coffee before going home. Suddenly, we all heard the sound of footsteps walking up the stairs and along the floor above.

Assuming someone must have left the front door open, we went to check. The front door was secure. An extensive search of the top floor revealed no-one, and we didn''t really give the matter much thought after that.

Until a week later.

This time, I and another person (who had not been at the original incident) were upstairs. Again, it was late and we were two of only three people in the building. The front door was locked and bolted. We both heard someone walking towards the room from the top of the stairs. It was the unmistakable sound of footsteps.

Assuming it was the other person in the building, we waited for him to enter the room. the door remained closed. I went to look. The corridor was empty and in darkness (which was strange, as we had left the lights on). We called out to the third person. No response. We went downstairs. The third person (who had been there the first night) was working on his motorcycle in the yard. He had not been upstairs at all.

At that point, I told the third person that we had again heard footsteps and we thought it was a bit strange.

Two weeks later, three of us were in the same room upstairs, again late at night. I clearly heard someone walking upstairs and along the corridor to our room. There was no-one else in the building. I looked at Kev, who was the lad who had been with me on the second incident. He had clearly heard it also, but indicated to me to say nothing. Colin, the third person (and who knew nothing about the previous incidents) went to open the door, saying "There's someone outside"

We opened the door. The lights had been switched off again. There was no-one there. We left. Hurriedly. We never stayed late again.

What would you call proof? over the years there has been a number of reports giving so called proof, and each time there is someone who comes up with an excuse that its something else. The spirit world is all around us, but few will admit to it, I along with many others in the world have given much evidence to provide proof that 'Ghosts' Spirits exist, but people say it's mind reading, or cold reading, and I'm sorry to say in some cases that has been the case, which has blackened the real mediums that provide real, and good evidence everyday, but would you believe? contacting the spirit world is not as easy as that, its not a question of saying you want to talk to your aunt Joan, and she comes through, a lot times there is no name given this is for a reason, it's to stop the ones amongst trying to con others.
All I can say is if you are someone who has doubt, then just keep an open mind, stay away from anyone who charges a lot of money to give you so called proof, I'm not saying it won't be true, but there's more to life, or death than money.
There is more and more proof around, but i have found that a lot of people do not want to talk about it, because they are either scared of what people will say, what their church will say, so many keep it to themselves.

Hope this helps, and all i can say to you is yes they do exist, and in time more of us will know this.

Love & Peace

The electrical current running through your brain at any given moment could power a major city for days. When you die, the energy dissapears (litterally), it does not transfer as heat as some might be thinking as they read this. Although the process has never been recorded to my knowledge, this can create a mobile electrical field, the likes of which have been known, and scientifically recorded.

there is no such thing as the standard (white sheet) ghost, but there are natural occurrences where these electrical fields can find a source, our outlet of electrical charge (like a plug, or open wire) and gain enough electrical charge to litterally move objects, shock people, move people, render themselves semi-visible by superheating molecules to the point that they create a bright glow (when 1 in every 100,000,000 molecules of air is superheated, the overall temp change wont be felt, or even affect you, but will be faintly visible.

The above is generally reffered to as a poltergeist.

It has nothing to do with attatchment to this world to my knowledge, it is a random occurence that happens to one in oh-so-many people because of their brain structure and certain death conditions.

Its pretty difficult to prove a negative. The burden of proof is on the person making the claim. I personally have yet to see, hear, or experience credible evidence for ghosts. I would be open and willing to consider evidence on the subject though.

Not proof. Just reasoning.

They never appear to masses of people
They only appear in dark scary places
Their energy never dissipates until somebody tells them to leave

Does this seem like something that really exists?

Ghosts come from human imagination. This is the same as asking if the Easter Bunny or Santa Clause exists.

Depends what your def. of "proof" Logically I can say there is no possible way
If you have *faith you can believe whatever without any actual real true proof
Decide for yourself
Fantasy or reality Its up to you

One doesn't need proof of "nonexistence"; the null hypothesis is considered valid without proof to the contrary.

I read a report that showed that the chances of believing in ghosts and UFOs increased as IQ decreased.
What a conspiracy!
The aliens and ghosts are deliberately trying to contact the stupid people!

No.
Nonexistence: You can't prove a negative
existence: Just because weird things happen it doesn't mean that they are caused by ghosts.
