Americans think all people with brown skin are muslims. Many ameircans asked me whether I m muslim. I m so fed up.

Many of us didn't grow up around people of different races/cultures/religions.

What is the deal man... just go along with it... make it a joke then get really serious at the end.... and if someone pisses you off blow their car up....you go the right you are muslim since you have darker skin...ignorant Americans

I'm so sorry that you are in this predicament. I do think you have the right word it is ignorance, but I don't think its the bad kind. If they ask they are curious. Obviously nobody has taught them different. Is it their fault that nobody has taught them different. Maybe they would like you to nicely clarify the reality of this issue to them. They may be embarrassed to ask somebody to teach them the reality. I know I am a little embarrassed and scared of rejection for asking.

on behalf of the majority of my fellow americans, I'd like to apologize for our stupidness. We are a lazy, prejudice, and ignorant bunch whom claim to be the "melting pot" of all races and ethnicities, yet so many whities are afraid and.... I don't think there's a word to describe just how ignorant we are.... you'd think that after 250+ years we'd get used to it, but bigotry is passed on through the generations. What business is it of anybodies even if you were? That'd be like going up to every caucasion and asking if they were catholic. who cares!! when will we learn?!
