I have just started to exercise and diet . I jog 3 miles a day and burn 300 calories doing it according to my treadmill. I have cut soda, fried foods, butter and sugar out of my diet. I feel great but I dont see any inches coming off, but I've only been doing this a week? How long will it take for me to see results? And is there anything else I can do to help me lose weight? I want to lose 15 pounds by july.

That's great that you have started to exercise and also watching your calorie intake. Good for you!

Each person's rate for weight loss varies by age, metabolism, diet, and will power!

Sometimes it's not so much the weight you notice, but the amount of inches you are losing. Try using a measuring tape and check you actual measurements before and after from anywhere from once a week to at least once a month, and record the data for a comparison later.

Fat will often turn into muscle, which is why you don't feel like you are losing weight. But do check those inches!

Running, power walking, and the use of the treadmill are excellent sources for burning calories.

Watching your calorie and carbohydrate intake, which it sounds like you are doing, go hand in hand with the exercise routines. Also try not to eat dinner late or munch on sweets and such throughout the evening.

When you start exercising, you will feel hungrier, just snack on some unsalted almonds, for instance. You can eat a few small meals, but you have to watch the total calorie intake.

Be patient, you should be noticing not only an increase of overall energy, but weight loss, and a loss of inches all over.
Good luck to you.

Limit your starchy foods like bread, potatoes, pasta. Be reasonable with your portions. Drink lots and lots of water. Cut down on salty foods. But don't totally deprive yourself of the stuff you love, so that you will stay with your plan without giving up. I think the 8-10 glasses of water a day really helps. If you only have 15 lbs. to lose, then it will be slow to come off because you are already near your goal.

It really depends on what type of work out you're using. I found that Slim in 6 works for me. I started seeing results within the first week. I strongly recommend buying the video.

If you use to drink sugar soda, eat fried foods, butter and sugar before; and now your not. Don't worry, you will lose the 15 lbs by July. Just keep it up.

Sorry, no one can predict the future of your weight loss. Only your body knows. Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Salt has no calories but makes you fat and burning more calories does not help this fatness.
