If you truly wish to follow the path of Wicca then you should realize that you will hurt and possibly be hurt, emotionally if nothing else by many of those around you.
This is because the religion of Wicca (witchcraft) is not only misunderstood by most people but also misused by others who are only out for their own gain. Those who misuse it are often the only ones most other people see.
Remember, your mom is most likely trying to protect you. That is a mothers job, after all, to protect her children, sometimes even from themselves.
I will not say that Wicca, or the followers of it are evil for the ones that are truly Wicca are not. The first and main law of the Wicca belief system is, from what I have read about them : "And as you harm none, do as you will."
Sound great, right? Do what ever you want! But then there's that kink in the first part of the sentence, 'harm none.' That means no driving while drinking or drugging cause you can kill others with the car. No spells to force others to do your bidding as using force against another is a kind of harm.
If you really want to become a Wicca, start reading. There are books about the religion available. Just be care full to think about what they say and ask yourself if that is what you really want.
Also, it'd be best to read the books written by Wiccans, and to remember that this particular religion has even more different sects than the Christians.

A few years ago my teenage daughter was into Wicka and it really freaked me out. She had bought a bunch of books on it and I didn't know what to think. I contacted a local university and asked to speak to a professor of religious studies. She explained that although many people confuse Wicka with devil worship, they are not at all the same thing. Wicka is a very peaceful belief system based in nature. I gave her the names of the books my daughter had. She was familiar with all of them and said they were just fine. Drawing Down the Moon was the title of one she thought was particularly good and healthy, by the way. Perhaps you could show your mother this e-mail and suggest to her that she do what I did. The university I called was Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. I chose a religion professor because I felt this person would be more likely to provide an un-biased opinion than a member of a particular religious group. Good luck, Hon.

Witchcraft and Magic to some people is fake. To others it is sin. And even to those who do not see evil in it. it is still dangerous to tamper with forces you don't fully comprehend. I would recommend giving up the craft for a while you're living with your parents, until you fully mature, and then perhaps take up learning it with an expert.

plus, she is providing you with a home.

My Boyfriend is really into it too and you know what you really should continue on liking what you like just maybe not in your moms house and stuff like that. She most likely doesn;t want you to be into that kind of stuff because she really is afraid of the unknown like most are and assume that it's something evil or weird but it really isn't my boyfriend knows all about this kind of stuff.Depending on what you want to learn from it and use it for you should do it .Good luck! P.S.Most people that are really talented with magic and stuff were told not to get into it by their parents/family too but we as people who enjoy magic and stuff like this on t.v. and whatnot are sure happy they decided to continue on with there practises because they are amazing and have brought out alot of knowledge to this world that not everyone can understand-but too see it done is awesome.

Doesn't like you doing things like that...or told you not to do it anymore, one means be careful the other means stop. Either way her home, her rules, her headache for restricting you in trying to fine the real you. If you truly believe in Wicca, no one can make you give it up, all the can do is restrict you in how you practice it.

You'll have to abide by your mom's house rules until you move out. Sucks, but that's the way it goes. Unless your parents ask of you to do something immoral, illegal or just plain wrong, you need to do what your mom says.

my mom doesn't agree with a certain religion and i think that i do but i am going to tell her cuz i know that she will be mad bt if she sees that i am happy then she will eventually warm up to the idea...... so just let her warm up to it and don't stop doing what makes you happy if this is what you want then don't ever let anyone stomp on your beliefs.........

As long as you live with your mom and she is paying the bills you must abide by her rules.

Try to speak with your mom more about it, and makeit understand why its so interesting for you and why you like and stuff. :] If she still does not understand, then just think more about the consequences and stuff.

good luck :]
