Take her to the doctor. It could be a virus. When babies get viruses, they tend to break out in rashes. But it could also be something more serious, like Scarlett Fever. It starts with a sore throat and then a fever with a rash. I'm in the Buffalo area and there has been a big outbreak in the schools. Although it's rare, it's very dangerous for your baby and can have later affects on her heart. It would be best for you to call the doctor immediately

Keep using th ecream, or if you can pick some up- Aveeno. It's in a beige tube with a burgundy stripe. It's oatmeal based and I find work better than the hydrocortisone.
As for the fever, give her a bit of tylenol, then take her to the doctor. The rash could be due to the fever, or a reaction to something she ate. Has she been in contact with anyone that has the chicken pox or some other virus?

Take your baby to the nearest emergency room. My son at 6 months old had the same symptoms and it was Scarlet Fever.
The rash started on his back and by the second day his entire body was covered. His fever went up to 104. I rushed him to the doctor and he was place in a bath with ice to bring down the fever. Scarlet Fever is very dangerous and fatal. Don't waste time, take your baby now to the emergency room before the fever goes up any higher. Give her lots of water to drink. Scarlet Fever also affects the throat. God Bless and Good luck!

Sounds like a fever virus - it is just a virus that consists of a fever and sometimes comes with a rash - nothing you can do but let it run it's course. If vomiting follows, then get to your doctor, but otherwise, fever viruses can last up to 10 days! Hang in there!

More then likely she is just having a allergic reaction to something... U probley may not ever know what it is.. .Think though if u have used anything different.. I.E. -- Detergent, shampoo, different foods.. I would give her some childrens Benadryl (the one that she takes in her mouth) It usually helps that kind of stuff... Then call doc Tomorrow if it don't get better... Im sure its nothing....... If u dont have benadryl give her some childrens tylenol to break that fever..

Actually it could be several things. Is she up to date on all her shots? What about measles, chicken pox, etc? If she has a fever with the rash; please don't hesitate, take your child to the doctor. Your doctor can give you the correct diagnoses along with the correct medication. Plus, it will give you a peace of mind.

I can think of three things....chicken pox, measles or Scarlett fever. I doubt it is anything like an allergy unless you changed something about her diet or your laundry soap. I would just call her doctors office and ask what they want you to do before you run willy nilly to the ER.

It could be chicken pox or measles. Chicken pox looks like little scabs and measles look like little red pin points. You should take her to the doc to confirm, though. some rashes come with serious illnesses. For the most part though the kids recover quickly.

I had Spinal Meningitis when I was young- luckily, I had a very good professional doctor to identify this and get what is called a spinal shot of special antibiotics with immediately. I am not sure if it started with a rash, but, go to emergency immediately to make sure and make a big fuss if you have to to get this dealt with!
